We are thrilled to bring you the 2025 Onion Days Festival. This year we're bringing back KALITA Magic! KALITA Magic is an exciting addition to our lineup on Saturday. We are looking forward to a full vendor setup, from crafts to delicious food, great music, and a genuinely great time for all who come out.
We continue with our giving back to the community with our yearly progressive euchre tournament where 100% of all money paid to play is donated to a great cause. It's $10.00 to play and it helps our community. Not only do you get to help with a cause, you have the chance to win a $50.00 gift certificate to Marlow's Pizza. Second place gets a $25.00 gift certificate to Marlow's Pizza. So, if you think you have the skills to beat some pretty awesome players, come on down to the VFW on Saturday at 1:00pm to show off those skills. Who says you can't help others while having a great time?
Have you heard of an Onion Derby? No? Well, that's because we made it up. This is a fantastic event to involve the whole family. Essentially, it's a Pine Box Derby, but you must include an Onion in your design. This year, we'll have a double track so that participants can race against another.
We are giving out cash prizes for this year's 5k Color Run.. If you think you can outrun that chalk cloud aimed right at you, good luck! And if you want to help make that chalk cloud, come on out to watch and participate in chalking up our runners.
Just a reminder, there is NO Smoking in the park and dogs are not allowed in the park. As much as we love seeing your furbabies, we feel it is best to keep them safe at home. This decision is for the safety of the community, as well as your pet. We hope you understand.
We want to thank all of our donors and sponsors for their donations. Additionally, we would like to thank all who volunteer to coordinate some of our events. We are greatful to all our vendors who come to our festival. With a huge heart of gratitude, we are thankful to our wonderful community, who come out every year to support Onion Days. With your continued support, we can continue growing and offering new ideas for a better festival. Thank You!
Roger and Mary Owen have been married for 55 years. Born and raised in Noble County, Roger, a graduate of Cromwell high school and Mary, a graduate of the first class of Central Noble High School have spent their entire lives in Noble County. They and their children remain in Noble County to this date. Roger served the United States in the Army in the late 1950’s. Roger, a retired machinist and Mary, retired from Ingram Book have enjoyed the freedom of retirement in their later years. They have volunteered, supported and advocated for a variety of different people and organizations throughout the community. Together, they have three children, grandchildren and two great grandsons. Their favorite roles to date have been simply being Maw Maw and Paw.
Over the years, they have participated in events around the Wolf Lake community helping to organize and support the Onion Days activities in the 1980’s. Originating the “Super Duper Pooper Scooper” in the Onion Days parade, today, continued by their Son, Grandson and now great Grandson. Friends such as the Ladig and Erdly families have become family and have blessed their lives. Today they still serve the Wolf Lake community through the local VFW and VFW auxiliary. Roger served on the Noble Township advisory board for 28 years. Mary is a volunteer at the Central Noble food pantry in Albion. Roger had the great privilege to go on the Northeast Indiana Honor Flight last year accompanied by his Grandson, who was serving the United States as a Marine. It was absolutely a highly of his life! Their life has been richly enhanced over the years with the blessing of so many friends. It is an honor for them to be recognized as this year’s Grand Marshalls of the Onion Days Parade.
Hi, my name is Teegan, and I’m honored to be running for Mr. Onion Days. I’m a recent graduate of West Noble High School, where I played football and wrestled throughout my time there. I also show animals at the Noble County 4-H Fair. I have been attending Onion Days since I was a kid and it’s a tradition I’ve always looked forward to. I’m excited for the opportunity to represent a community that means so much to me!
Hi, my name is Sophia Freedom Francen Craig. I am 14 years old, attend Connection Academy Schooling and I will be a freshman this year. I have chosen to run for Miss Onion Days because I have always been part of the community of Wolf Lake and Bear Lake. I have 3 cats and 1 snake. I have been coming to onion days ever since I can remember, and when I was younger, I was crowned Kiddie Queen. I like whale sharks, raccoons, and Dr Pepper. I love to draw and I can tell you anything about space and/or rocks. I am going to be learning how to play the guitar in memory of my brother, Sebastian.
Hi, My name is Aiden. I am running for Mr. Onion Days as a proud Central Noble sophomore. Onion days has been something my family and I look forward to every year since I was 7. We love going and playing basketball, participating in the tractor pulls, the pizza eating contest, among so many other things. All of these have made lasting memories for me and I am proud to have the opportunity to raise money for and possibly be Mr. Onion days for the Onion days festival year. I enjoy playing football, wrestling, and spending time with my family in my spare time. Thank you for this opportunity!
Hi! My name is Kenna Alexander, I'm 16, and I'm a current junior at Churubusco Jr-Sr High School. I'm a very active member of my school's FFA program, and I'm this years chapter secretary! I've competed in multiple state and national competitions! I've been going to Onion Days my whole life, even won Kiddie Princess when I was little! I enjoy reading in my spare time and playing board games with my family! I'd be honored to be this year's Miss Onion Days!
